Timetable & registers · for Schools, academies & clubs
Classes, teachers and studios sit on one weekly timetable with clashes flagged. Teachers take the register in class, and the office follows up absences the same day.

Classes, teachers and studios across the week, with clashes flagged. One-off changes and cover reach everyone at once.
Performing arts schools, academies and clubs
Teachers tap each student present, late or absent in class. Absences go to the office the same day.
Schools still collecting paper registers
You set each class once with its teacher, studio, day and time, and the timetable fills the term around half terms and closures. Move a class for one date, book cover or change a studio, and teachers, students and parents see the change.
At the start of class, the teacher opens the register on a tablet or phone and taps each student present, late or absent. Once submitted, the register locks, any later change records who made it, and absences go to the office to follow up.
How Timetable & registers goes on each of the three ways businesses usually run it.
| What | Spreadsheets and paper | Off-the-shelf software | Your own system |
|---|---|---|---|
| Building the timetable | A spreadsheet rebuilt each term | School software made for big schools | Your classes, studios and term dates |
| Taking registers | Paper sheets in a tray | A clunky app teachers avoid | A tap per student on a tablet |
| Following up absences | Next week, if at all | A report someone has to run | Sent to the office the same day |
| Telling parents | A group email | A separate parent app | Changes on the parent portal |
